Stop my dog from barking

I have a small dog and recently he barks when I get to my front door, sound normal, but check it out – he barks because he knows it is me, he sits on the window ledge (small dog haha) and see’s me coming – waits for me to get to the door, jumps downs and goes crazy until I get into the house. So I did some research and found my new favorite site for dog training tips along with so much more.

Does my dog still bark – hell yes but maybe he is saying hey dude welcome home – or maybe like the site says he is showing dominance, that is until I’m in his face and then he shuts up ) Forgot to mention he does this even when people are home!
